Connecting Through Creativity:

Community Campaign Design

Ships Creative Association

Art is best shared! For this project, a friend and I built a creative community group from the ground up to turn an abstract concept into tangible reality. We launched competitions to connect the community and built a platform to showcase collective works. Although it was a short-term campaign, the entire collaborative process—spanning different mediums and social connections—ultimately evolved into the "artwork" itself.

Concept

Founded in 2019 after two years of concept development, SHIPS Creative Association is a Hong Kong-based non-profit platform uniting local designers, comic artists, and wordsmiths. Our name symbolizes a shared voyage: sailing together to spread hopeful, joyful art while fostering an equal, free, and supportive creative community. We bring creativity down to earth. Through our community events, everyone—regardless of age or creative background—can confidently share their unique ideas and thoughts with the world.

*SHIPS is currently on temporary hiatus due to heavy workloads. You can still explore our journey and details on our website here:

Campaign

We focus on building a creative publishing platform and organizing arts competitions. Selected works are featured in our regular publication, Paper Boat, giving new talents a chance to be seen. By hosting events like the 'Doodle Doodle Character Design' and 'Hong Kong Flash Fiction' contests, we create a space for artists to learn, connect, and grow through creative exchange.

Social Media Art work & Photo

Though operations are paused due to busy schedules, we made sure to complete all contests and hand out all awards. Below are the design archives, social media photos, and the profiles of our winners.
